I'm writing to you on behalf of my mom, Melinda Cato. I was sent a link to your website from a dear friend of my mom's that thinks the world of her and knows what a great person she is. If you're talking about a woman determined to succeed and help others, it's my mom. She has been dealt some serious blows in the last 10 years and I fully believe her dedication to her home based business is going to pull her out of it!!
First, let me tell you a little about these blows I mentioned. When she was about 38 years old, she had a brain stem stroke that affected her equilibrium and therefore her ability to work. Another side effect is that her ear rings constantly (tinnitis). How she's managed to stay sane after all this, I just don't know. Then, my stepdad lost his job shortly thereafter. We had gone from 2 incomes to none, supporting a family of 5, in a matter of months. Talk about depressing. Most people would wallow in their misery. Not my mom. She was determined to survive!! Billy (my stepdad) got another job and eventually my mom did too, but we still had to move out of our home we'd lived in for 13 years. We moved around for a few years and finally found a home about 5 years ago. It was tough during this time, but what we didn't know that that had been a piece of cake compared to what was to come. In 2001, Billy had 2 strokes and a 20 minute seizure that was enough to kill him in one night. The punches just kept on coming. This resulted in paralization of his right side. Billy's a fighter though, so he worked real hard and recovered fully from this tragedy. 3 months later, tragedy struck again and he had another stroke. Because of the short time in between strokes, they couldn't give him the shot that dramatically increases your chances for recovery. He'd had it the first time, but I think it can kill you given that close together, so they couldn't give him another. So, this time he had to fight on his own. He worked so hard and was almost fully recovered from this one until he fell one day and really did a number on his back. My mom was the only one home and had to get him up by herself. (This has happened a number of times) The fall had created a blood clot in his back and given his condition, there was nothing they could do. They couldn't take him off blood thinner long enough to remove it so we just had to pray it would dissolve. My mom has taken care of him and dealt with the financial ramifications of his condition for almost 6 years now. She's definitely a devoted wife!!! So many people would not be able to handle it, but she does it with such amazing strength. Her faith keeps her going. She's never lost that!! I would imagine it's a daily struggle, unlike anything we could fathom.
Billy is in a wheelchair and doesn't attempt walking anymore. He sleeps in a hospital bed because it's too hard to get out of a regular bed and my mom has to bathe him because his left hand is clenched so tightly that he cannot do it himself. They have a van that is handicapped accessible (and amazingly enough the house we moved into was equipped for a handicapped person) and he can actually drive himself around some to keep him from going stir crazy. This has been a huge blessing. It was not running for quite a while and that was another setback in their lives. They were making ridiculous payments on this van, that they needed so bad, that wouldn't even crank. They spent so much money trying to repair it over about a year's time. Finally, it's working again. Thank the Lord!! This relieves some stress off my mom. My mom works part time at a bank for the benefits. She really can't work full time because she has to take Billy to the doctor, but she really needs the money to deal with all the medical bills and medications! So, she started a home based business that I believe will pay her above and beyond anything she could've ever imagined. She's worked really hard on this business and it has already been a blessing. This provides extra income that is so desperately needed!! The products are amazing! They are for wellness and as you can tell that's something that we so often take for granted!! She's been dedicated to the products for a while and her business has really started to grow. It's allowed her a little more breathing room when those bills are stacking up! My brother just moved out to go to college and as I'm sure all parents with kids in college know, this is a financial burden that you probably weren't quite prepared for. She struggles to give him that opportunity! She tries to do things for me regularly too because she just wants us to have such a wonderful life! I try to talk her out of it because I know that she needs the money so much more! But, that's just the kind of heart she has! She is the best mom in the world and I'm thankful that this home based business has alleviated some of the stress that most people would crumble under! I wish that the things I've mentioned here were all the pain and heartache she'd been through in the last ten years, but it's not. I'm just giving you a short snipet to show you just what an amazing person she is! My mom is someone I just absolutely could not live without! She deserves some recognition for her hard work, her heart and her strength!!
